RoboCop the movie

Robocop is missing from a list of the top action movies of 1980. It would be shameful to discuss the best action movies of that era. One of the most insightful, though overtly satiric, action movies of the 1980s is Paul Verhoeven's Hollywood debut, which continues to be a mainstay for legendary action movies. RoboCop can be seen as fun action material from the 1980s but its importance has been heightened by time. The movie has that classic action film style that we all love, but the real magic lies beneath. Sometimes I want slap the younger me because I couldn't see the details at the moment. (update) However, RoboCop has helped me accept the visual violence on the screen. That may be part of my success in making it this far.
